How it works

Four steps from estimate to crew plan.

The template does the math. Your job is to be honest about the weeks.

01
Make your copy
Open the template and choose Use template (or File → Make a copy). Enter the project name and your start date. Every week start fills in from there.
02
Enter proposal hours
Drop in the total labor hours from your estimate. That’s the benchmark everything else gets measured against.
03
Build the timeline
Week by week, name the phase and assign positions and hours: PM, superintendent, lead carpenter, carpenter, apprentice, laborer. Totals build as you type.
04
Read the variance
Timeline hours against proposal hours. A positive number means you’ve scheduled more labor than the estimate covers, and you found it in week zero, not week fourteen.
